31st August - BGSS Teacher's Day cum 4E1'11 Class Reunion Lunch@Pizza Hut

4E1'11 Class Reunion Lunch at Bedok Interchange Pizza Hut

OH HELLO!

I knew it! I just knew that by posting on my laptop it will instantly change the way that the pictures are posted :DD TEEHEE! Ohwell, today I'm going to do one of my outstanding posts in my list. I know its not in correct order, but uh, whatever... HAHA! this is the post that I was suppose to blog on the 31st August.(: Yeps, you guessed it/saw it, its BGSS Teacher's Day Celebration cum Class Reunion Lunch with ze awesome 4E1'11 :DD HAHA! so without anymore dragging and formalities, lets begin the post :D

SOO, a little background of the events that led up to this day. So initially, it was supposed to be a dinner for the teachers (Teacher's Day Dinner). However, many teachers weren't that readily available for dinner unfortunately. Hence the dinner was scrapped and changed to a lunch instead since it was deduced that most of the Polytechnic students will return for the celebration concert and then the JC kids can join us for lunch! Well, that was the plan that stuck through... but through the whole time in between, there were no confirmed plans. Only until around night of 30th August was the message posted on Facebook that the reunion is still on and we will be meeting at BGSS at 9.00 or 9.30 cause they could not figure out what time the concert start.

Well, anyway, that's for the 'background info' of the outing. So on 31st August, I could have sworn I will definitely reach the school after 9.30am cause I woke up a little later than I have intended and was super freaked out. Well, kinda. HAHA! So initially, I was like, heck, I will slowly prepare for "school" since I'm well, already late (; but turns out, even with me preparing slowly for school, I still managed to reach school before 9.30am. Well, maybe it was partially due to the fact that the buses at 9 in the morning are faster than the buses at 6 in the morning. Well, makes sense cause at 9am, the crowd is pretty much dying down? Idk. That question is meant for SBS and not me... So, on to the topic... So while I was reaching the bus stop at the school back gate, I saw Guan Ning and Mark. And I was like, I gotta catch up with them. So when I alighted, I immediately walked as briskly and the same time gracefully as I could possibly do so with the song Rainbows by Alice Nine blasting in my ears. Well talk about some strut! :D LMAO.

Well, I did managed to catch up with Guan Ning and Mark as I met them at the school gate whilst registering. Really thank God! Will never know how it will turn out if I didn't meet Guan Ning cause I will most likely be like a ostrich and find some place to hide :x HAHA, but I did! Which is super awesome! That I met Guan Ning. We hung around at level2 outside the hall for awhile before realizing that Jolyn and Wei Ling are at the third storey the 'balcony' looking over the hall. So we went up there to meet them, although it wasn't allowed from what he guard say, we are only allowed at the hall and canteen... HAHA! Well, we 'bumped' into few students, teachers but they all said nothing, so we just continued seating there watching the horribly done concert.

Like watching this year's concert, I'm so thankful that I have already graduated and need not view this kind of crappy quality emcee-ing. Its really really horrible. Emcees are suppose to be capturing the audience attention and distract them from the little details that are happening on the stage. Which this year's Teacher's Day Concert emcees did not do and in fact did a super terrible job in! Like please, when the curtain is closing don't make a very dull statement and quickly say your next line and leave the stage and leave the stage empty with only the curtains slowly winding towards each other. You are supposed to distract the audience by talking as excitedly as possible so that they will not be able to realize so obviously that the curtains are closing. Really really face palm to the core. And if you look at the performers... bangs wall. Could they kindly have at least one relatively more 'professional' act? Gosh! And a 30 minutes concert? Goodness gracious... The concerts organizers only have one way to go now. Up. They can't go down any further.

Well, so that was pretty much how the concert "progressed" so to speak. Well, after the whole concert ended and stuff like that, we went to visit a few teachers... Well, actually, we just mainly hogged around Mrs Tan, our FAVOURITE English teacher that we all adored, station and just chatted. LOLOL

So after taking a few pictures, we decided to finally leave the staff room and go to the canteen where we gathered into groups and just chatted while waiting for time to just pass and for others to come and join us at school.

Well, after waiting for awhile more, we finally made our way to Pizza Hut for lunch. Actually, there was a big debate on where to go as when we first called Pizza Hut, Pizza Hut said that it could not fit us all... So we decided to settle for Long Johns Silver which was beside Pizza Hut and have lunch instead. A few other places came into the discussion until the final verdict came in and it was said that Pizza Hut could squeeze us all in(: So we happily went to Pizza Hut and took up to 20 seats and ordered Student Meals (which offered us free flow of Pepsi :B)

After eating and making alot of noise, we finally concluded our reunion lunch and all headed our individual ways...

Well, in mere conclusion... I thought that this was one of the more successful "unofficial" reunions consider that it was kind of like still a school day and the details were only confirmed last minute and we rendered near 50% attendance. However, obvious at it is, the clique is still present as little mix happened, well we were still in our little cliques and all... Also, it was a pity that there was a need to split up to the 2 groups and seat (although at close proximity) apart. This also made one group (which apparently was the girls group) had little bonding with the teacher. So for us, it was more of a reunion rather than a Teacher's Day Lunch... But I still think it was awesome and great. Really caught up with people that I really really love like Jia Liang and Yvonne. My 2 family dearest! HAHA! So instead of being grumpy and complainy about the reunion, I should be grateful to the organizers instead. So really thank you to Shu Hooi who planned this! :D

Will end this photo with my favourite picture for the entire day(:

Deja vu; Hubby-Wifey picture - Madness @PizzaHut

HAHA! I really adore this picture cause I felt like my smile was the most natural... OH! Something I learnt from Mr Brain! Do you know that you can't consciously smile naturally? Why? Lemme quote from Tsukumo Ryusuke; Mr Brain
"When people are in a situation where they want to smile, the brain's frontal lobe, the area connected to the heart, sends the command to the face, miraculously controlling about 50 muscles to create a natural smile. On the other hand, if you consciously try to smile, the order "Laugh! (or can also be translated as Smile!)" is given out by the motor system. But the muscles can't be controlled by force, so when you do it, your smile will be very stiff, right? So, to have a naturally cute smile, there's only one way. Smile unconsciously." - Tsukumo Ryusuke; Mr Brain

That means, that smiling is actually an action manifested by an emotion. So only when you are feeling the emotion of joy, than can a "natural nice" smile be shown. Hence, the saying which says that to give off a natural smile, one way is to think of an event that made you happy. Cause when you remember it, you will feel the happiness and joy hence making you smile unconsciously.

So this can also explain why candid shots are often nicer than planned shots. This is so as the person is unaware of the camera, as such the feeling and expression that is shown is the raw feelings and expression of the person. Hence, making the smile beautiful and radiant.

Well, this will sorta conclude my post on 31st of August (:
JYANNN!
