HELLO!
A very good morning to the world! It's 11:56am now here in Singapore. The clouds look a little gray, but the Sun is up and shining (: I'm like currently in my room typing this post out :D
HAHA! okay, so I woke up around 10+, but as usual, I kind of got distracted with videos and all. But thank goodness! I managed to remind myself what I'm supposed to do, hence I'm here to blog about one of the really outstanding post :B Starting with the oldest, Chorale Outing@Garden by the Bay!
| le Exclusive Family! #hearts |
So it started a few months back where the topic of a choir outing was brought. Originally, it was supposed to be a chalet, however due to partly lack of response and the lack of venue, the chalet was scrapped. However, Darius kinda insisted that there was to be a chorale outing during the school holidays (something about that Chorale is not just about singing and its also about bonding and all those). Hence, it was suggested Garden by the Bay and soon decided that we were to bomb Garden by the Bay on the 1st of September. And we were going to have potluck, so we need to form like groups and buy/make/bring foods.
So as usual, the family kinda grouped up and decided that we were going to buy pizza from Canadian pizza since they have the buy-1-get-1-free thing on. Next was deciding how on earth we are going to transport pizza to GBTB. Originally we were thinking of just ordering the pizza and ask them to deliver. But then it will be more expensive cause we will need to pay this thing called delivery charge -.- We initially thought of buying the pizzas from a store near GBTB, however unfortunately we could not find any outlets that are near to GBTB. Hence we decided that we will just buy the pizza from a Tampines outlet and then bring it to GBTB since Rachel dad offer to bring us to GBTB(:
With that, me and Priscina agreed to meet up earlier and go to the outlet that we are going to collect the pizzas (she will pre-order it before we meet) and then we will meet Rachel at Tampines 1 the taxi stand there.
So on Saturday, I woke up early, did one session of Science tuition (yes, I give tuition) and then after that was done, I changed and got ready and left a little earlier than the time I was supposed to leave the house reason being that I need to buy a camisole to wear underneath the knit top that I'm wearing. Not that I mind wearing it without the cami, but its like. Urgh, people commenting about it its super annoying and I really hate it. So I decided to avoid the situation and just buy a cami to 'cover up' sufficient skin that was being exposed due to the purposely placed holes of the knitted top. Originally, I just wanted to get a white cami, however I could not find a suitable white one, so I just settled with a light bright blue camisole instead. And I think I just spent $3 on it. Would I buy it again? Well, if its for a very quick 'fix', like what I kinda needed on that day, well maybe yes. But if that's not the case, well then I suppose that my answer might just change in either direction.
Well, so after I got the camisole, I followed the directions given to me that would lead to near her house, where I was supposed to meet her. However, there was a little complication that arose. The direction she gave me was, alight at interchange and following the tracks of the MRT, and you will see a park, walk through the park and you will see a basketball court, and to meet her there. I thought I knew the way cause there's a place that have the exactly same directions and it still led to a basketball, so instantly I thought it was there. However, turned out, I was wrong. The park that she was referring to was at the opposite direction that I headed. When I realized that I am at the wrong side of the MRT, Priscina just told me to meet her at Tampines Mall the Macdonalds there, as her dad has kindly offered to bring us to the outlet instead, which was very kind of him (:
Well, anyway, that day, somehow, somebody agreed and decided that the family will all tie two pony tails, since we are the 'maknae' of the chorale (well, not like really in months but more of years.) And cause I don't have the rubber band, I asked Priscina to bring some. Well... I kind of have some reservations of tying two ponytails cause of the way my hair is cut. Like, the bottom half of my hair WAS shaved and the hair that had grew out were too short to be tied into either ponytails): But, still, I was thinking that if everybody in the family was tying, then I shouldn't be the spoil sport and not tie. Hence I tied it eventually.
When we finally reached the place where we were going to collect the pizza, I realized how near it was to my secondary school, Bedok Green Secondary School. In fact, it was super close to Safra, Tampines! It was just one stop before Safra Tampines' bus stop. Well, that's aside the point. So when we went to the outlet, the 'OPEN/CLOSE' sign was flipped to the 'CLOSE' sign, but the door wasn't locked. There was nobody at the counter, but there were people in the kitchen. So me and Priscina were like giving each other weird glances and were like asking if we arrived during opening hours or is this the norm. And after calling for the employees, finally somebody came to address us. And when they confirmed our order, they told us to come back in 15-20 minutes and the pizzas will be ready for collection.
We then headed to KFC which was next door to grab a drink as it will be pointless to return to the car to just wait for 15-20minutes and then return to the outlet to pick up the pizza. So we just went and buy a cup of Pepsi and shared it while waiting for time to pass. Then Priscina was saying that my hair is pretty messy, and so I re-tied it with my iPhone (on internal camera mode) sitting on the ledge. And I'm sure at that moment, they might have probably thought that I was wack... Well, I'm not seeing them everyday, so it's kinda fine :B
So, soon, it was time to go back and collect the pizza. And we went into the still having the 'CLOSED' sign facing the public Canadian Pizza and waited to collect the order. While waiting, Priscina was commenting that it was super messy. Although I'm fine with messy hairdos, but I'm sure there are people that are not used to it. So instead of just saying that "its okay, I like it that way." I accepted her offer of helping me tie and let her tie. And while she was tying, one of the employees came out, and we were like so shocked. And ohgoodness, that was so awkward :x HAHA! Then the employee just looked at us, laughed then we were like awkward. Goodness, a that time, I really wished the floor would open up and just swallow me! Gosh...): Its so embarrassing please! And I was like telling Priscina that I will not come to this branch ever, cause my reputation is tarnished here. Then Priscina was like, "Reputation? What reputation do you have?"
And with that, we took our pizzas laughing at our little awkward moment and went to the car were Priscina father would take us back to Tampines interchange to meet Zachary and later meet Rachel who has already picked up Angela. And with that, we were on our way to Garden by the Bay! (:
When we reached, we early. So the few of us early birds decided to play some games while waiting for the rest to arrive. The game we played revolved heavily on the theme of sabotage, and somehow, I'm just good at it. I can successfully sabotage (but don't make them lose) the person seating beside me. But it's not like this is a personal battle right. But, well, they get mad whenever I make them get the pile of cards... So after awhile I just gave up on explaining how this isn't personal and just played. But when my dear came, I became more 'kind'(that's what they said), cause I always protect my dear by doing a suicide. But, the thing is, it doesn't matter how much cards I collect at the end of the day, what matters is that I don't have the highest number of cards collected. Cause there is a forfeit for the loser who lost twice, but there is no price for the winner. Hence, there is no need to fight for the first. Instead, we should all help split the load of cards so that its easier to sabotage our common enemy - the creator of the forfeit. Well, this was a protection we pulled out. Cause the forfeit suggested was really too outrageous (in my opinion) and can be very embarrassing. And so, the family decided that the person that approved the forfeit shall be the one that will perform the forfeit. So an alliance was formed and we successfully evaded the forfeit :D
After the forfeit was done, most of the people have arrived, so we began to eat. After eating, we were basically split into 4 groups and we played several games. The only game I can remember (SORRY! :x) is Train Charades. So what we did was that we lined up in one straight line, all facing one direction. The first person in line will first pick a paper that will contain something that we do in chorale and without words, we are supposed to get the last person guess what is the thing that the first person got.
After playing, we went to wander about (which we did not managed to wander much...) and took alot of pictures!
| Wedding Picture :O Keke! :B |
And we even did a faux proposal! HAHA! Purposely blurred the image, btw. :B

Cause right after we sung finish the song we immediately left, its hard to tell the reaction of the public. And, super paiseh, but, I forgot the ending pose of 'Say a little Prayer', and I did it wrongly ): After that was over, took a few pictures before heading home.
Overall, it was a pretty fun day (: Especially the time I had with my family! <3
Shall end this recap post with a collage of the pictures we took that day.
